What to Expect
from the Teacher
The teacher (David Nagai)...
Provides a motivating space of connection, curiosity and possibility.
Encourages students to speak more and helps them put their thoughts and feelings into words via in-depth group discussion.
Hosts a safe environment for making mistakes. Mistakes show that you are willing to try, learn and grow.
Helps students when they need support and also gives group feedback.
Class Material
David has created 300+ original materials since 2017.
Our usual material focuses on one theme each week by introducing an article or video (5-10 min).
This material includes audio, transcript, English tips and discussion questions.
Some materials introduce an activity like a student-led discussion, brainstorm or role-play.
We recommend students prepare one hour each week. The class itself will be interactive group discussion.
